Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a well-established hospital lab that is part of a larger hospital system that is looking for a couple of Administrator of Laboratory Services to join their team in Manhattan! Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
-Directs and supervises the Staff and support department, coordinates special services and coordinates activities or related support and professional services departments.
-Prepares operating plans, drafts of plans, policies, programs, and procedures. Implements improved systems and procedures, monitors systems, controls, and audits programs.
-Makes studies of adequacy and effectiveness of general administrative and support services and makes recommendations.
-Prepares data for budget preparation, operating and statistical reports, analysis and makes recommendation.
-Monitor's requisitioning, availability, functionality of supplies, equipment, and materials for administrative, professional and support services activities and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
-Prepares studies on patient care standards, makes analysis, and prepares recommendations.
-Attends management staff meetings, conferences, and consults with Medical and support services department.
-May represent Hospital Administration in hospital functions and programs.
-Supervises all aspects of laboratory functions to ensure that all JCAHO, NYS standards and other accrediting and regulatory agencies are met.
-Coordinates/designates personnel to ensure that all Proficiencies Surveys and other inspections are properly handled, reports/results submitted and documented in timely manner.
-Other duties as assigned.
Basic Preferred Profile:
-Bachelor's/Master's in Medical Technology, Laboratory Science or related.
-NYS Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Required.
-7+ Years of Clinical Laboratory Experience, with 5 years in a managerial capacity with a Bachelor's OR
-5+ Years of Clinical Laboratory Experience, with 3 years in a managerial capacity with a Master's.
-Shift is M-F, though some weekends maybe required.
-Previous experience in a Hospital setting required.
-Must have overseen all areas of the Clinical Pathology Lab, including Mirco.
Salary and Benefits:
-$130,000-160,000 (Depending on experience)
