Certifying Scientist, Toxicology

A clinical toxicology laboratory in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Certifying Scientist with strong chromatography skills to perform quantification and data review. Prior experience with toxicology drug testing is required, and experience with LC/MS (LC-MS, Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) is required. The selected candidate will work with all phases of the confirmation test to include sample prep, loading the instrument, initial quantification and review, and final review and release of results.
– Bachelor's degree in either Medical Technology or Chemistry, or closely related field
– Prior Toxicology drug testing experience as well as LC/MS experience is required
– Method development experience preferred
– Reviews drug confirmation data from the laboratory, compares with the initial screening data for accuracy and release the results.
– Initiates any corrective action in the lab on testing data that has been reviewed and found to be incomplete or inconclusive.
– Provides detailed customer consultation for physicians and other health care professionals in regards to drug testing methods, drug metabolism and excretion.
– Interact with other departments such as sales, customer service and IT.
– Performs other related duties as required and assigned consistent with the level of the position.
