-Is responsible for recruitment, retention and directing staff employed in the Facility Laboratory, which includes Blood Bank. Ensures that laboratory operations are consistent with the CMS Conditions of participation for a Critical Access Hospital Laboratory.
-Is responsible, in collaboration with Chief Financial Officer in preparing annual department budgets. Is responsible for ensuring laboratory department is operated in accordance with approved budget. Is responsible for ensuring proper and timely documentation of services performed to maximize reimbursement for work performed. Performs other related duties as requested.
-Must be flexible to handle situations and be available to the lab when needed.
