We are currently in the midst of the greatest global health crisis in decades: the COVID-19 pandemic. As this novel coronavirus affects communities around the world, there is an increasingly urgent demand for available and accurate testing services, effective drug therapies, and a COVID-19 vaccine.
Lighthouse is partnered with the clinical division of an international CRO who has proven quality standards, technical expertise, turnkey laboratories, and decades of experience, is well prepared to combat COVID-19.
This lab is in need of Medical Technologist Supervisors as well as Medical Technologists on a temporary assignment. This will be a 6 month contract with an option of either a six month add-on or conversion to full time permanent employee. The is will be a day shift, M-F schedule and a very generous pay rate for all positions.
Basic Preferred Profile for both positions are below:
Medical Technologist Supervisor:
-Minimum: 4 year college degree in biological science
-A minimum of 4 years of high complexity testing experience with either viral molecular testing (qPCR/RT-qPCR) or viral/drug serology tests (ELISA) with the following specifics.
-Experience in ELISAs or RT-qPCR/qPCR with non-Point-of-Care instrumentation (e.g. custom plate setups, Spectramax plate readers or similar, QuantStudio, ABI 7900, etc.).
-Experience in general manual ELISA setup (pipetting and working with 96 well plate formats).
-Experience in liquid handlers are a plus (e.g. BioMek, epMotion, QIAgility) is a plus.
-Minimum: 4 year college degree in biological science or currently certified Medical Technologist
-At least 1-2 years experience in ELISAs or RT-qPCR.
-Experience in non-POC testing and robotics are a plus.
