Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a lab near Columbus, OH that is looking to add three Medical Technologists/Technicians to their roster of awesome employees. In this role, you'll be responsible for the following:
-Perform waived, moderate and highly complex laboratory testing.
-Testing conducted includes hematology, microbiology, molecular, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis
-Methods include manual kit tests, fully automated analyzers and microscopy
-Testing performed on blood, urine and other body fluids
-Follow all policy and procedures established by Laboratory Director and Management team.
-Perform calibration and quality control checks for all types of instrumentation.
–Perform routine laboratory maintenance on all types of laboratory instrumentation.
-Perform unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on all instrumentation.
-Ensure accurate results prior to reporting.
-Perform routine laboratory procedures such as preparing slides.
-Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
-Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain samples for laboratory testing.
-Assist with supply inventory.
-Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment.
-Collect data, prepare report, answer correspondence and compile statistics as directed.
-Analyze proficiency testing material and submit results.
-Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
-Fulfill continuing education requirement by completing written assignments or attending workshops.
-Follow OSHA guidelines
-Maintain patient confidentiality.
-All other duties as assigned.
Basic Preferred Profile:
-Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biology or related.
-ASCP/AMT certification required.
-Prior experience in a high complexity clinical lab preferred but NEW GRADS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AND WILL BE ACCEPTED.
-Must be comfortable with performing phlebotomy duties if needed.
-Shift: M-F, 3pm-11:30pm (with an occasional Saturday).
-20% Shift Differential for working Evenings
Salary and Benefits:
-MLT: $21-31/hour (Depending on experience), MT/MLS: $25-35/hour (Depending on experience)
