Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a brand-new, up-and-coming lab that is looking for a Director of Biorepoistory Services to join their team! Interested? Then don't dally, apply!
The role you'll play:
You'll be responsible for the development and optimization of biobank sourcing and sample management strategies critical to the advancement of the company's programs. This leader will supervise the biorepository staff in all activities related to timely sample storage, sample sourcing, vendor management, inventory management, instrumentation, and future automation. A collaborative approach is essential for this leader as they and their team will interface and work in partnership with multiple cross-functional teams and clients across different locations in support of the company's initiatives.
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
-Lead the company's approach to building/managing a Bioreponsitory solution for their client base.
-Responsible for sample lifecycle management from acquisition to archival.
-Manage all sourcing, vendor management, inventory management and sample allocation in support of development programs.
-Develop and retain highly skilled and effective Biorepository team to support ongoing programs and future development opportunities.
-Sample Check-in/Chain-of-custody management.
-Leverage advances in the field and employ innovative methodologies in Biorepository management.
-Develop and review standard operating procedures (SOP's) and adheres to the company quality standards, GLP and GCP guidelines, and regulatory. ISBER and CAP accreditation guidance.
–Effectively communicate and discuss complex biorepository and development issues with project teams, senior management, external partners, active and potential clients.
Basic Preferred Profile:
-Bachelors/Master's in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or similar.
-5+ years of Biorepository or biobank management experience.
-2+ years of supervisory experience, including laboratory personnel and equipment.
-Prior experience with biorepository software systems and working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
-Working knowledge of GCP, GLP, along with federal and local regulations.
-Proven ability to manage timelines and adhere to budgetary requirements.
