We are currently looking for a Technical Supervisor to join a newly established laboratory performing cutting edge clinical chemistry in a POL in Aventura, FL. This role will be Responsible for performing high complexity testing performing clinical chemistry using Elisa testing.
You should apply to this role if you hold a Bachelor's Degree and an ASCP certification plus a FL license as a Supervisor.
Job responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
-Utilizes technical skills and abilities to perform clinical laboratory testing.
-Follows laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting, and performs all tests in moderate and high complexity testing. maintaining records of patient results.
-Understands and operates test systems proficiently.
-Ability to troubleshoot test systems and take appropriate action where indicated.
-Utilizes job knowledge, judgment, and problem solving skills to ensure quality of laboratory services
-Follows established policies and procedures for quality control performance and documentation.
-Performs and documents scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance.
-Identifies problems which may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and takes appropriate action, including supervisor notification if indicated.
-Understands and follows all safety, infection control, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines.
-Participates in departmental quality assurance programs.
-Participates in the laboratory’s in-service education program.
Education and Experience
· Bachelors Degree.
· Candidate should have active Florida Technologist license.
· One year of clinical laboratory experience in specialties of ELISA technology, and/or diagnostic immunology.
