We are working with a large cancer center not far from West Seneca, NY area that is looking to hire an exceptional supervisor in Cytology. In this role that is approximately 50% benchwork and 50% administrative, you will have the opportunity to direct and coordinate the testing activities of the cytology department, overseeing technical and non-technical staff involved in the technical preparation of gynecological and non-gynecological samples for cytological review. Some of your other responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Provide direct administrative and clinical support to the department chairperson and administrator
- Perform, monitor, and review simple and/or complex test procedures
- Oversee staff hiring, training and certain performance metrics
- Guide QC and quality, ensuring that SOPs are consistently followed for accurate test results
- Additional responsibilities as required.

Basic Preferred Profile
-New York State License as a Cytologist OR Eligibility for the NYS License
-Bachelors degree in Cytology or related field PLUS 6 or more years of full-time clinical lab experience OR
-Masters degree in Cytology or related PLUS 4 years full-time clinical lab experience OR
-Previous experience with cytology in an oncology setting preferred
