Lighthouse Lab Services Ranks No. 999 on the 2022 Inc. 5000 List

For the 4th Time, Lighthouse Lab Services Appears on the Inc. 5000, Ranking No. 999

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Charlotte, NC, Aug. 19, 2022 – Inc. has revealed Lighthouse Lab Services is No. 999 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Lighthouse was included on the list for the fourth time and second consecutive year after experiencing 653% revenue growth over the past three years.

“It is an honor to be recognized on the Inc. 5000 list for the fourth time,” says Lighthouse Lab Services President Jon Harol, whose company is headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. “All credit goes to our employees and customers who continue to propel our growth and enable us to find new ways to serve the medical lab industry.”

The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent businesses. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

As general awareness of the importance of quality lab testing was heightened throughout the past few years, Harol says he’s honored Lighthouse continues to bring attention to a vital, yet sometimes overlooked, sector of healthcare.

“We are committed to leveraging that momentum in our efforts to make quality lab testing more accessible and highlight the important work that medical lab professionals do every day,” Harol adds.

In addition to its top 1,000 overall ranking, Lighthouse also earned the distinction of being named the second fastest growing health care company in North Carolina and 59th fastest growing health services company in the nation. Complete results of the 2022 Inc. 5000 can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

“The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today.”

Founded in 2003, Lighthouse Lab Services began as a clinical laboratory recruiting and staffing company before merging with Elite Diagnostics in early 2020 to offer full end-to-end laboratory services. In that time, Lighthouse has become the leading strategic resource for lab entrepreneurs, physician groups, and hospitals in consulting and implementing any aspect of laboratory operations including buildouts, recruiting, lab management, information systems, and revenue cycle management. In addition to its Charlotte, N.C., headquarters, Lighthouse also maintains offices in Holly Springs, N.C., and Toledo, OH.

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000

Methodology

Companies on the 2022 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2018. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2021. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2018 is $100,000; the minimum for 2021 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to four decimal places. The top 500 companies on the Inc. 5000 are featured in Inc. magazine’s September issue. The entire Inc. 5000 can be found at https://www.inc.com/inc5000.
